January 24, 2009 - Autumn Mist Farm purchases the the top selling female lot at the 2009 NWSS Highland Cattle Sale. The lot consisted of a recipient female with her January 3, 2009 embryo transfer heifer calf at her side. The embryo transfer calf is out of Zeus of Swains and by Four's Emma (Lot #25).

Zeus of Swains is a very structurally correct bull. He combines some of the best Canadian and Scottish lines in one compact pedigree. Zeus traces back to a 100% Scottish imported bull on the sire side and his dam is sired by the “Gene Machine” Gille Bhuidhe of Benmore. Zeus has tremendous muscling from front to back with excellent uniformity and fleshing ability. Zeus was the 1995 NWSS Grand Champion Bull and also the 1992 Royal Ag Fair Grand Champion Bull as well as other champion titles. He has produced NWSS Grand Champions as well as AHCA ROE Show Champions. His mature weight is 1925 with a scrotal circumference of 40 cm.

Four’s Emma is one of Black Watch Farms' top donor cows and show champions. She is a large framed, deep bodied, easy-fleshing donor cow. Emma has an excellent udder and always weans the heaviest calves in the Black Watch herd.  She also has excellent feet and legs.  Her mature weight averages around 1550 pounds on grass and she has a frame score of 5. Emma has been named many-time Grand Champion Cow/Calf and has won numerous Produce of Dams awards.  Emma is the sire of Black Watch Emmett, 2004 AHCA ROE Grand Champion Show Bull of the Year; Black Watch Elvis, 2008 & 2009 NWSS Grand Champion Bull, and has also won Grand Champion at every show he showed at in 2008; Black Watch Eli, 2006 Top Gaining and Highest Selling Bull Test Bull; Black Watch Ellie, Grand Champion Female and two Reserve Grand Champion Female titles in 2008; Black Watch Portia, numerous division champions in 2008. Black Watch Elvis (ET) top-selling Highland bull at the 2009 NWSS Highland sale and all time top selling bull at the NWSS Highland Sale.
